The AI Reckoning: When Cyber Threats Evolve Faster Than Defense
Over the decades, technology leaders have adapted to truly transformative market and technology shifts including the advent of the Internet, virtualization, cloud computing, mobility, and cybersecurity. None of those shifts come close to what is happening now.
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming the most powerful business accelerator, and most dangerous threat/force multiplier cyber defenders have ever faced. While organizations race to deploy copilots, autonomous agents, and AI-driven automation for financial gains and efficiency, cybercriminals are weaponizing the same capabilities much faster to accelerate reconnaissance, exploitation, social engineering, malware development, and scale. Meanwhile, most MSPs and their clients’ legal, security, governance, and compliance models remain clouded by assumptions from a pre-AI world.
In this session, experienced CISO Kevin McDonald will share the reality of what happens when we fail to imagine the black swan events and act in the face of incredible advancements in offensive capabilities at light speed and an unseen before scale.
As the saying goes: "AI cannot yet replace technology leaders. But technology leaders who fail to understand AI will be replaced by those who do."
