As senior vice president of business development at Datto, Rob Rae's role is to oversee various aspects of Datto's programs including events, marketing development funds, vendor management and partner advisory board, all with the goal of helping the company's partners grow. With over 25 years' experience in B2B markets, Rob has extensive knowledge in the art of IT hardware and software sales. All of his industry experience has been with 100% channel-focused organizations and with channel VARs, solution providers and MPS, helping them achieve their sales goals. Before coming to Datto, Rob built successful sales and channel teams at Level Platforms (acquired by AVG) and Compaq (acquired by HP). He has been received numerous awards within the channel including being named "CRN Channel Chief" every year since joining Datto. He has also been recognized on many top industry executive, influencer and midmarket executive lists. Rob also sits on a number of industry advisory boards, including CompTIA's Vendor Advisory Council and the xChange Vendor Advisory Board.
